The new Portia Primary School is currently under construction to replace the existing school buildings that are in a very dilapidated state. The aim of this building was to offer student covered and sheltered 'exterior' spaces to play if the weather did not allow them to play outside, as well as offer classrooms that are drenched in natural light and well defined multifunctional exterior spaces.

Dunoon is a very densely populated area in Cape Town and is very reliant on Public Transport to travel to and from work. The area that are currently being used as a Public Transport Interchange / Taxi Rank also became the opportunity for many to start informal trading ventures. This project aims to provide a facility where pedestrians can move safely from the MyCiti bus station to their taxi route, as well as provide space for Traders to do their daily business.
